Obama is funding radical Islam through Egypt…

It was Albert Einstein who said “Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.”

I would switch that idea around, and say that weakness of character begets weakness of attitude. Without solid character, one does not have the correct attitude to lead. In order to be a leader of men, one must have a firm grip on the reality in which we live. One must understand when it is time to act, when it is time to withdraw, and when it is time to stand still. When one does not posses firm character, major judgment calls can become difficult, and be made irresponsibly.

I’ll be forthright and say it: Obama does not possess firm character. That is why, over the course of his administration, we have seen him make so many poor decisions. He has continuously made choices that benefit only him and his Party. Those choices have done massive damage to the American economy, to our foreign policy, and to the American people at large.

One particular choice made by Obama about which I was particularly leery was his decision to continue sending billions of dollars in aid to Egypt following the election of Mohammed Morsi. Morsi is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood—a group of radical Islamists. There were reports that some of his opponents were being executed following his election, and reports of extreme Christian persecution. In addition, Morsi has swiftly consolidated power, taking it from the judicial system and giving to himself.

Just as a reference, Morsi is the man who reportedly said this: “They [non-Muslims] need to know that conquest is coming, that Egypt will be Islamic, and they must pay jizya or emigrate.”

And this: “The Koran is our Constitution, the prophet is our leader, jihad is our path, and death in the name of Allah is our goal.”

Even if these quotes are exaggerated or fabricated entirely (I don’t think they are), the fact still remains that he was a very involved member of the Muslim Brotherhood—a group of radical Islamists.

Once Morsi was elected, and began becoming despotic, we should have cut off all aid to Egypt. However, that was not the case. It is only now—because of the popular and military uprising—that Obama is considering cutting off aid.

It is US law that aid must be cut off when a coup takes place; however, we have been providing cash to Egypt for decades, regardless of the circumstances. So, at the risk of sounding like a crazy conspiracy theorist, I ask the question: Why?

Why cut off aid now, rather than before? Why continue to provide a radical Islamist leader with US money? Why not support this uprising, like he supported the last one that brought Morsi to power?

Barack Obama is not—I repeat—not a Muslim. That does not mean, however, that he does not support radical Islam. Obama is a secular humanist, pretending to be a Christian. At best, he’s an agnostic. It is important to know where he stands in regard to Islam, and his own spirituality—or lack thereof—because it informs his decisions politically.

All of the questions I asked need to be answered. But more than that, without answering a single question, Obama is demonstrating an extraordinary weakness of judgment. This weakness of judgment shows a weakness of character.

Were I to read Obama’s mind, I might see two things: fear and opportunity. Obama may be afraid of radical Islam in Egypt. He might be so afraid, that he is willing to back the Muslim Brotherhood over a more secular government because he fears retaliation if he does not.

The other option is opportunity. He may realize that by first backing Morsi, then turning around and backing a revolution against him, he makes himself appear schizophrenic. It makes him look like he does not know what he is doing in regard to foreign policy.

Regardless of what is really going on, Obama has shown a severe weakness of character. Either option is bad for his image in one way or another. All he can do now is play catch-up, which is the game of characterless men.

Memo to those in our military: ‘Stand tall and proclaim your faith loudly and proudly.’

Stand tall, proclaim your faith...
When NBA basketball player Jason Collins recently announced to the world that he’s sexually attracted to other men, Michelle Obama tweeted “So proud of you, Jason Collins! This is a huge step forward for our country. We’ve got your back!” Jason even got a personal call from the president.

But evan as the Obama administration is vusy validating lifestyle choices and values that fly in the face of Christian sexual morality, this president is just as busy undermining the free exercise of the very Christian faith that dares to acknowledge morality even exists.

In a statement released in early May, President Obama’s Pentagon threatened military personal with “Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense…court martials and nonjudicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis.”

Although the Pentagon has walked back its new anti-Christian “proselytizing” policy within the realm of public relations (a policy drafted with help from foul-mouthed atheist and anti-Christian bigot Mikey Weinstein), the DOD has yet to offer evidence that it intends to walk it back within the realm of application.

Webster’s defines “proselytization” as an attempt “to recruit or convert especially to a new faith, institution, or cause.” Sounds an awful lot like the Pentagon is threatening to court-martial any service member who obeys Christ’s central command to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

Hard to read it any other way.

And so, to any member of the armed services who is harassed, demeaned, reprimanded or charged by this Obama Pentagon with obeying Jesus — with endeavoring to “recruit or convert” others to His exclusive saving grace — we at Liberty Counsel are delighted to say, “We’ve got your back!” Pro bono. Free of charge.

How are we able to do this? Through the generous financial and prayer support of more than 1.2 million Liberty Counsel donors and supporters. So please, get this information to every member of the armed forces you know. If you or they are being persecuted in any way, at any time, for sharing the love of Jesus Christ, let us know. Call us right away at 1-800-671-1776 or email us at liberty@lc.org.

“Making it a crime to share your faith is outrageous and morally unconscionable,” said Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel.  “There has never been an administration more committed to its secularist philosophy at the expense of religious liberty. Liberty Counsel will do whatever is necessary to defend the religious liberty of our men and women who defend our liberties in the armed services,” promised Staver.

You’re trained to fight. So are we. You risk your lives to defend us every day. Let us risk our time and money to defend you. It’s the least we can do. We’d count it a high honor.

I’ve got news for Barack Obama. In America, serving God and serving country are not mutually exclusive. They never have been. In fact, until this president came along, the two went hand in hand.

In his farewell address, George Washington underscored the critical role religion and morality play to our nation’s survival. He warned of people like Barack Obama and Mikey Weinstein. “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports,” he said.

“In vain would a man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens…reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religions principle.”

It seems the central goal of the current president and his Pentagon is to do exactly that — to subvert religion and morality wherever they find it. George Washington called that vain and unpatriotic. A majority of Americans would undoubtedly agree.

Mark Twain once wrote, “The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation.” His sage advice seems a slight variation of Ecclesiastes 9:10, which says “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…” In short, if you want to find happiness, find what God created you to do and do it well. Do what you love and you will love what you do.

I love working for Liberty Counsel. I’m incredibly blessed to be part of one of the fastest-growing civil rights organizations in our country.

Every brave serviceman or woman I’ve ever known loves serving this great nation. Every Christian I’ve ever known loves serving the one Holy and Sovereign Creator of the universe — King Jesus.

If Mr. Obama or any other anti-Christian radicals think the American people are going to just lie down and allow them to rip God from country, they have another think coming.

I’m always proud of what we do at Liberty Counsel, and having served 12 years in the US military, I’m especially proud right now. It can’t be easy, laboring under an incompetent commander in chief who, over and over again, has displayed open hostility toward Washington’s “indispensable pillars” of religion and morality. It can’t be easy to serve under a president who constantly attacks your faith and freedom.

“It is beyond ironic that this administration chose to attack the religious liberties of the men and women who are charged with defending our nation’s freedom across the country and around the world,” Staver said. “The military has a unique relationship with chaplains in order to meet the spiritual needs of our soldiers. To threaten court-martial for anyone who shares his or her faith is reprehensible and un-American. This absurd policy will undermine the military and destroy morale. It must be rescinded immediately, and those responsible for instituting it should be disciplined.”

But until then, and once again, to those in the military: Don’t forget; stand tall and proclaim your faith loudly and proudly. If Obama tries to muzzle you, don’t sweat it. Liberty Counsel has your back.
