What are you sticking with in today’s investment marketplace?

norm-al-170811

We’re sticking with gold God.  Here’s why…

First and foremost, gold might look pretty good down here, but God has so much of the stuff He paves heaven’s roads with it.

And don’t ever forget…no matter how much of it you manage to accumulate, you won’t be taking ANY of it with you when you leave Planet Earth.  The closest you’ll ever come is to take some of what you manage to collect, and send it on ahead.  [By donating it to God’s work here.  Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.  …If you wish to be perfect, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”  (Matthew 6:21, 19:21)]  Not only does God keep track of what we give and where we give, He also keeps track of HOW we give.  “God loves a cheerful giver,” remember?

Don’t be a hoarder, be a helper.  God only asks us for ten percent, you know.  Most of us give more than that as a tip for good restaurant table service.

Once you get used to spreading your money around a bit, doing a little good here, a little good there, you’ll enjoy the feeling so much you’ll start trying to live on less and give more away. (It has happened to many others, we promise you.)

If you happen to be among those who are still skeptical about the whole “God thing” and not really convinced that God is really there, or that the Bible is really true, please let us pose one question to you: How do you explain all the prophecies in the Bible which have come true in centuries past?  (Never mind the prophecies which we will see coming true in years ahead.)

Here is how God explains those prophecies: “I am God, and there is no other.  I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.’  When I have spoken it, I will bring it to pass.  When I purpose it, I will also do it.  My salvation shall not delay.”  (from Isaiah ch. 46)

If God knows history in advance and can tell us in advance how something is going to turn out, which He has done many, many times in the Bible (and there is no other foundational book for any other religion which can demonstrate this), does this not give God the edge in being able to convince us He is real?  Jesus even said to one of His disciples, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.”  (John 14:9)  In other words, “if you want to know what God is like, just get to know Me.”

THAT is an invitation you should accept!

A few thoughts on Islam at the start of a new year…

“Our experience has been that Islam creates dark habitations of cultural cruelty and that Christianity brings the light for an abundant life to cultures. We want to do all we can to educate people about the advantages that faith in God’s Word will bring. We want people to have faith to see Christian culture established in societies that have been Islamic for the last eleven centuries or more.

“Why? It is because Christianity has positive effects on societies and paves the way for advancement in every meaningful aspect of life. There is a residual blessing effect with faith in Christ that lives on for centuries, whether or not citizens are active in church participation.

“Islam has no blessed residual effects. Once Islam thoroughly grips a nation, it has paralyzing effects. This smothers creativity in the arts, medicine, science, business, technology, education, and in harmonious human relationships.

“Wars and adverse economic or climatic conditions are not viable excuses. Countless other nations have gone through all these and more, and have picked up where they left off and continued to make advancements. Not so with Islamic stronghold nations. In many ways they have gone backward rather than forward. Were it not for the technological innovations, creativity, and medical advancements adopted from Christianized countries, the Muslim nations would still be sitting in the dust of 7th century Arab culture.

“Islam’s quenching powers have been easily verified comparing France, Germany, Italy, and Spain on the one hand with Egypt, Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia on the other. The areas of specific comparison were in average household income, literacy rates, male life expectancy, and infant mortality rates per thousand live births. Here is what the comparison showed (using the 2013 World Almanac):  On average, household incomes were 230% higher in the Christian nations. The literacy rate was 15.5% higher. The men of Christian nations live 7.2 years longer. And infants born in the above Muslim nations have a mortality rate that is 750% higher than in the Christian nations. The superiority of life in these Christian nations was astonishing!”

A converted Muslim, now a Christian, has offered the following testimony:

“The first time I was arrested for questioning it was because of what I had written on a sign board saying “Jesus is Lord.” While being questioned my captors just started beating and kicking me, trying to inflict as much pain as they possibly could. I soon discovered that my own father had come to join the police in punishing me. I remained in my faith and was not scared of them. The more they beat me, the stronger my resolve became to grow in my faith. There are many other young people now working with me to help reach Muslims with the truth of the Bible.”

Another testimony:

“Not long ago I was caught with 85 copies of the New Testament in my bag. The Iranian police handcuffed me and put me in their car headed directly to the horrible Evin Prison. [Located in Tehran, Iran.] I was frightened because I was on probation, having a long arrest record for Christian activities. I had already spent two years in prison. My name on the police records states ‘Employed by Jesus.’ I was more frightened now because of the evidence of 85 New Testaments.

“From the moment I was tossed into the police car I started praying. I was sure if I went to the prison again, I would never come out alive. I have lived with miracles and believe in them strongly. Sitting in the police car I only said to Jesus that I have done nothing but serve You. Help me. Please do not let me die.

“The word ‘die’ was hardly out of my mouth when the policeman told his driver to pull over so he could purchase something for him. Then I heard the voice of the Iranian policeman turning his face to me and saying, ‘You’re dumb, why are you carrying 85 Bibles in one bag?’ I could not believe what I was hearing. His voice had a different tone from the voices I had heard previously in prison cursing Christians. Then I looked in his eyes. There was something different in his eyes. He was putting the few Bibles he had taken out of my bag back into it. He said, ‘Okay, now quickly, get out of this car. Right now!’ I said, ‘Are you one of us?’ He said, ‘Yes, I believe in Him, too.’ I reached out to touch his hand and literally cried. I said, ‘What will you tell the driver?’ He only said, ‘Go, quickly!’ The next thing I knew, I was in the street running to get a taxi and get as far away as I could. I felt a longing to be somewhere to worship and to thank God for the miracle that had just happened. We are so thankful for the believers who are working in governmental positions and who can be a blessing when one is sorely needed.”

In Mourning For America…

In Mourning For America...

I am mourning for America, because she is dying.

I am mourning for a nation that once knew such greatness but that has now fallen to depths that were once unimaginable.  I am mourning for the death and destruction that are coming, and I am mourning for a future that our children and our grandchildren will never get to see.  I am mourning for a nation that has refused to listen to the warnings and that now stands on the precipice of judgment.  I am mourning for games that will never be played, for books that will never be finished, for family vacations that will never get to happen and for memories that will never be made.  I am mourning for the economic depression that is coming, for the horror and suffering that friends and family will endure, and for the coming death of the country where I drew my first breath.

To many, these words will seem “over the top” and overly dramatic.  After all, despite the thousands of problems facing this nation, things still seem very “normal” at this moment.  Well, if you don’t “get” what I am saying right now, just bookmark this page and come back to it later.  Eventually it will make sense to you.

Last week, I was invited to be a guest on a major television show that is beamed into the homes of millions of people in the United States and Canada.  If you get a chance to view the shows that are being aired this week, you will notice that I wore all black.

I wasn’t just making a fashion statement.  I was doing it because I am in mourning for America.  Unlike so many that talk about the horrible things that are ahead for this country, I actually love the United States.  I truly wish that this nation had become everything that it could have become.  I love the part of the country where I currently live, I love the amazing people that I am constantly meeting, and I love the things that I have been able to experience just because I am an American.

Unfortunately, everything is about to change.

There are many out there that believe that America is still a great nation.  Well, great nations do not murder tens of millions of their own children.  As Dr. Chuck Missler has pointed out, the most dangerous place to be in America today is in a mother’s womb.

Since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973, more than 56 million babies have been purposely destroyed in this country.

What does a nation that has murdered 56 million of its own children deserve?

I believe that we have just come out of a season of time when America has been shown exactly why it is about to be judged.

It is no accident that the undercover Planned Parenthood videos were released when they were.  Now the entire world knows that we slaughter our babies, harvest their organs and sell them off to the highest bidder.

So what has the response of the American people been to the revelation of this great evil?

Yes, a small minority of Americans have gotten upset, but most people have been completely unmoved by this news.

Our government gives Planned Parenthood hundreds of millions of dollars each year, and that isn’t going to change.  Planned Parenthood is just going to keep doing what they do, and the American people are just going to go back to ignoring the unprecedented holocaust that is happening behind closed doors all over the nation.

This past summer we also witnessed what I believe is the perfect bookend for the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision of 1973.  The institution of marriage was permanently altered in all 50 states, and most of the nation greatly rejoiced.

The White House was lit up with rainbow colors to honor what the Supreme Court did.  The rainbow is a symbol of God’s covenant with Noah, and in the book of Revelation there is a rainbow around the throne of God.  They have taken this symbol that belongs to God, and they are using it as a symbol of their defiance.

Of course these things that I have just mentioned are just the tip of the iceberg.  The truth is that evil is growing in this nation in thousands of different ways.  Every year there are 20 million new cases of sexually transmitted disease in the United States, we have the highest divorce rate in the entire industrialized world, and nearly one out of every five American women say that they have been raped at some point in their lives.  In the United States today, there are 60 million people that abuse alcohol and there are 22 million people that use illegal drugs.  America produces more pornography than the rest of the world combined, and surveys have found that Christian men use it at just about the same rate as everyone else.

I will not be publishing an article tomorrow.  In a few hours, Yom Kippur will begin where I live.  It is the most solemn of all the holidays described in the Bible, and it is a time of repentance.  I will be praying for myself, my family, my community and my nation.

If America had repented as a nation and had turned from her wicked ways, we would not have to go through the things that we are about to go through.

I believe that the time of grace that the United States has been given to repent is ending.

I know that this is very different from my usual format.  Is it okay if I just share what is on my heart from time to time?  On Thursday I will get back to sharing the facts, figures and hard information that you all have come to expect from me.  But today when I woke up I just felt that I should share these things with you.

Very shortly, things are going to start changing in a major way.

America is dying, and the hardest times that any of us have ever seen are right in front of us.

ACLU loses again…

ACLU loses again...How To Protect The Forest? Simple. Just Cut Down All The Trees.

Score:   GOD and ONEIDA, Tennessee:   1000,       ACLU:   0

After Oneida, Tenn., school officials decided not to fight the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) demand that they cease an opening prayer before high school football games, the school’s cheerleaders tackled the matter.

Led by cheerleader Asia Canada, the Oneida Indians’ squad used the moment of silence before the Sept. 12 football game with Watertown to deliver a cheer – for God.

“[The announcer] called for the moment of silence, and I started off, ‘Our Father who art in heaven’ and everyone joined in,” Miss Canada, the ringleader of the revolt, told WBIR.

As Asia began reciting the Lord’s Prayer, her teammates joined her, along with Watertown’s cheerleaders. Then, hundreds of people in the stands rose to get in on the prayer. For the record, ACLU attorneys did not demand that local police arrest everyone on the spot. Also for the record, Oneida crushed the Purple Tigers 47-7.

School officials had agreed to stop the 84-year tradition of opening games with a prayer and replace it with a moment of silence after the ACLU threw a flag on their prayer. However, that wasn’t the end of the story in this Bible Belt town 60 miles north of Knoxville.

Kevin Acres, the announcer, distanced himself from the change, explaining that, “first off, I wanted to let everyone know on both sides of the field, this wasn’t our decision or the school board, it was pressure from outside groups.”

The exuberant demonstration of faith that erupted was not exactly spontaneous, said football coach Tony Lambert.

“We went to the cheerleaders and said ‘would you consider leading the Lord’s Prayer during the moment of silence for anyone that would want to join in?’” said Mr. Lambert, a self-professed Christian. “It was at their discretion, and they organized it. We announced the moment of silence, the girls formed a circle and read the Lord’s Prayer and others in the stands followed in. I got a lot of positive feedback from it. I’m very proud of our cheerleaders and fans.”

In an Oct. 3, 2013, letter sent to schools all over Tennessee, ACLU of Tennessee Executive Director Hedy M. Weinberg cited the Supreme Court rulings Lee v. Weisman (1992), which bars adult-led school prayer, and Santa Fe Independent School District v. Doe (2000), which bars student-led amplified prayer. In the latter case, dissenting Chief Justice William Rehnquist wrote that Justice John Paul Stevens’ 6-3 majority opinion “bristles with hostility to all things religious in public life.”

Explaining the ACLU’s aim to silence the prayers, Ms. Weinberg wrote in Orwellian fashion about “protecting religious freedom for all students, including athletes, and for their families who attend the games.” In the ACLU’s world, you preserve the forest by cutting down all the trees.

She noted that, “It is well settled that school faculty, coaches, administrators or invited clergy may not lead students in prayer or conduct a prayer during a school event.”

The school had been allowing public prayer at football games since 1930. Is that “well settled?” America’s Founders, including Thomas Jefferson, attended Christian services in the chamber of the House of Representatives, and presidents have incorporated prayer in public events on government property right up to the current day.

Unable to prohibit presidents of the United States from indulging in this disturbing behavior, the ACLU has been more successful rooting out religious heritage in communities like Oneida (pop. 3,700).

That brings us to the question of how you define success. Before the ACLU’s threat, one man with a microphone would give a prayer at the games. Now, hundreds, perhaps as many as a thousand, according to Mr. Acres, pray together, led by cheerleaders who won’t knuckle under to a team of ACLU lawyers.

The football fans of Oneida apparently revere God more than they do man. There’s a good chance that many are familiar with the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:32-33:

Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

Oneida High School Principal Kevin Byrd said the ACLU’s legal victory has united the town of Oneida like nothing else.

“We are in the heart of the Bible Belt,” Mr. Byrd told The Knoxville News. “Nothing galvanizes us more than our faith. This just reassured us where our school stands. We’re gonna stand true to our beliefs.”

This is reminiscent, on a larger scale, of a famous incident in May 2001, when a commencement speaker at Washington Community High School in Washington, Ill., faked a sneeze so that a number of students could loudly say “God bless you.” The student, Ryan Brown, did it to get around a court order obtained by the ACLU on behalf of the school’s valedictorian, who did not want an invocation or benediction at the event.

As even the liberal fact-checking site Snopes.com put it, “people were angered by the decision, which overturned a tradition of 80 years’ standing.”

So, if you have something even faintly “religious” going on in public in your community, and it goes back 80 years, watch out for an ACLU goon unit.

No word yet on whether the ACLU will be back in Oneida with another threat. After all, the school football team’s name is … the Indians.
