Democrat FantasyLand: It wasn’t Hillary’s fault she lost the election, and it couldn’t have been Obama’s either, since he says “we got more done than any administration in the past many, many decades”

Barack Obama threw himself headfirst into the Presidential campaign.  He barnstormed the country for Hillary Clinton and launched deeply personal attacks against Donald Trump.

Now that Donald Trump is President-elect, Obama is working hard trying to save face. That’s only natural, since Trump’s win can only be seen as a total repudiation of the disastrous Obama years.

Trump campaigned on repealing and replacing ObamaCare, ending Obama’s war on energy (based on the belief that global warming is a hoax), winning Obama’s failed war on ISIS, and putting a stop to Obama’s globalist immigration and trade policies.

Even Obama himself admitted his legacy was on the line and that it would be a personal insult to him if his voters did not to turn out for Hillary Clinton.

CNN reports on a September speech given at the Congressional Black Caucus Gala:

“Barack Obama delivered an impassioned plea to the African-American community Saturday night to help stop Donald Trump, saying he would consider it a “personal insult” to his legacy if black voters didn’t turn out for Hillary Clinton.

Addressing the Congressional Black Caucus gala for the last time as president, Obama warned that while his name would not be on the ballot in November, all of the progress that the country has made over the last eight years was on the line.

“If I hear anybody saying their vote does not matter, that it doesn’t matter who we elect — read up on your history. It matters. We’ve got to get people to vote,” Obama said. “I will consider it a personal insult — an insult to my legacy — if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election. You want to give me a good sendoff? Go vote.”

But in key states like Ohio and North Carolina, black voters didn’t turn out in the same numbers as they did in 2008 and 2012.

Trump won the election by campaigning to wipe away Obama’s failed legacy and spiking turnout with rural and working class voters.

So it was no surprise to see Obama shake off any responsibility and try to rewrite history to make it appear as if his policies and legacy were never on the ballot November 8th.

Politico reports on the post-election press conference where Obama dodged all accountability for the results:

“In a press conference and in two separate conference calls with supporters, Obama rejected the idea of a bigger meaning in the election results. His policies? Helped millions and maybe even billions. His personal popularity? Still sky-high. His party? Well, he was busy with Syria and the economy – you can’t expect him to do everything.

“We are indisputably in a stronger position today than we were when I came in eight years ago. Jobs have been growing for 73 straight months. Incomes are rising. Poverty is falling. The uninsured rate is at the lowest level on record. Carbon emissions have come down without impinging on our growth,” Obama said during Monday’s press conference, his first since Election Day.

“We’ve helped millions of people in this country and probably billions of people around the world,” he added on another call with donors, elected officials and other supporters organized by the Democratic National Committee…

…“This notion that somehow all the work we did suddenly gets stripped away,” Obama said on the DNC call. “Let me tell you something: We got more done than any administration in the last who-knows-how-many decades and if they roll back 15 or 20 percent of that, we’re still 80 percent ahead.”

He added, “And that’s not going to be as easy as I think some people feel, particularly if we continue to make the case and mobilize.”

Hillary Clinton was running for Obama’s third term.  She embraced all of his policies and even pledged to expand them.

But both Clinton and Obama have never been very good at recognizing reality, have they?

NORM ‘n’ AL Note:  Obama is not only a failed president, a failed leader, and worthy of impeachment for his treasonous acts while in office, but he is also dumber than every American who voted for Donald Trump. Obama really thinks he accomplished something in his time in office? His so-called “legacy” is one that no sane and clear-thinking person would be proud of! After eight years in office, all we have to consider as his “legacy” is the health care plan which is bankrupting both the country and those who are now faced with its huge cost increases; the national debt which Obama DOUBLED while he was in office, to more than 20 TRILLION dollars (but he did manage to take some great vacations, though); the military victory in Iraq which was shepherded by George W. Bush and then stupidly squandered by Obama; the ongoing war with ISIS which Obama has no real idea how to fight, or even the will to fight; the race relations all over the US which Obama used to divide the country to levels of racial tension not seen in more than 50 years; reduction of our US military forces to levels not seen in more than 70 years; and an economy which has never been able to achieve any momentum in the entire eight years Obama has been in the Oval Office.  All of this is in addition to Obama’s really stupid attempts at a foreign policy that only got America ridiculed and laughed at around the world.  That’s your legacy, Mr. O.  Sure hope you’re proud of it!  Nobody else is!  If you really think we’re “in a stronger position today than eight years ago,” you are not just dumb, you’re a dumb liar.
