Dems and other liberals say the whole Clinton investigation mess and the reopening of same is “no big deal”… but senior security officials point out why it’s a VERY big deal

Following the recent announcement by the FBI that it was re-opening their investigation of Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her private email server, many of her supporters, particularly in the liberal media, once again sought to downplay the issue as no big deal.

But former CIA operative Charles Faddis just authored an op-ed for The Hill to explain to those folks just how wrong they were because Clinton’s email scandal was indeed a big deal, one for which she should be held accountable as  would anyone else who had done the same thing.

“I have worked in national security my entire life. Most of that has been in the intelligence community surrounded by classified information,” Faddis wrote, laying out his credentials for those who would doubt him.

“For 20 years, I worked undercover in the Central Intelligence Agency, recruiting sources, producing intelligence and running operations. I have a pretty concrete understanding of how classified information is handled and how government communications systems work,” he continued.

“Nobody uses a private email server for official business,” he added. “Period. Full stop.”

Faddis proceeded to label Clinton’s use of a private server to conduct official government business both “insane” and “mind-boggling” and said the fact that some government officials seem intent on letting her get away with it was “nauseating.”

“Classified and unclassified information do not mix. They don’t travel in the same streams through the same pipes. They move in clearly well-defined channels so that never the twain shall meet,” he wrote.

“Mixing them together is unheard of and a major criminal offense,” he explained. “If you end up with classified information in an unclassified channel, you have done something very wrong and very serious.”

He further explained that even accidentally removing one piece of classified material from the proper channels, even if nothing untoward results because of it, can result in a loss of security clearance, loss of a job, or even worse, loss of freedom via a prison sentence.

That is when he dropped a most chilling revelation which showed just how serious this whole issue is, and how it most likely endangered Americans both at home and abroad.

“Every hostile intelligence agency on the planet targets senior American officials for collection. The secretary of state tops the list,” stated Faddis. “Almost anything the secretary of state had to say about her official duties, her schedule, her mood, her plans for the weekend, would be prized information to adversaries.”

“It is very difficult, in fact, to think of much of anything that the secretary of state could be saying in email that we would want hostile forces to know,” he added.

After running through a summary timeline of what we already know Clinton did in regard to her private server and emails thus far, Faddis wrote: “While serving in one of the most senior positions in the United States Government, Hillary Clinton was at a minimum, grossly negligent in the handling of classified information and when confronted with this practice, acted immediately to destroy information and prevent a full, fair and complete investigation of any damage to national security.”

“Anyone else who did such things in the government would long ago have been tried, convicted and sent to jail,” he concluded.

Yet because Democrats always think the end justifies the means (just ask Harry Reid, that smarmy senator from Nevada), this is the candidate they believe should reside in the White House and represent our country on the international stage.
